MooseJaw styles itself like a Canadian company while being very misleading to shop with from Canada. The transaction is made in US dollars (and will not be converted until appearing on your credit card bill). They state that they are not responsible for shipping and customs fees that foreign buyers may incur (which are exorbitant). Overall, this is not a company that should be purchased from unless you are an American buyer.
I ordered through another company which apparently sent the order to Moosejaw. I had ordered from the company before and had the same thing happen but the order went through a different company. I placed the order on July 3. On the 6th, I received an email from Moosejaw asking me to verify some billing and shipping information that the original company did not have correct. (This had occurred with my previous order so I wasn't too concerned). In the email, I was asked to call customer service but the only option given in the email for contact was to use email. I emailed their customer service department and they immediately emailed me back with a specific issue. I provided the documentation from my original order on the same day. Today (7/15) I received an email stating that my order had been canceled because I hadn't responded. This time they provided a phone number. When I called they stated that they canceled the order because I didn't respond to their email. When I gave them times and dates, they still stated that their records said that I hadn't responded and if I still wanted the item, I would have to reorder it. However, the price of the item on their website was $11 more than what I originally paid.

We originally ordered off of Carhartt for the Force men's shirts. After 2 weeks, we got one in the mail and found out the others had been canceled. So I did a little research and found Moosejaw! Amazing! They had our items in stock, and I paid the $19.99 (although you can choose free shipping) to receive the items the next day! Tracking did not show and I was worried because I wanted them in time for Father's Day (a lot of men's favorites) and low and behold FedEx did deliver them! I was so excited. Opened the package, everything I ordered was there! To make it the best of all, they were on sale for an unbelievable great price! I will absolutely use Moosejaw again! If you're a Carhartt fan, you'll love that they have many items that are typically sold out elsewhere! I'm forever a favorite fan of Moosejaw now! Thank you. A very happy customer here! Not to mention. They have a rewards program that gives you credit back! Fantastic!
After having read some reviews I felt obligated to counter some. My experience with Moosejaw's customer service was excellent! I had mistakenly ordered incorrectly and they were quick to correct it with returns a pleasant to deal with which is generally the opposite of my typical experience in these matters. Great attitude and personable! Thanks Moosejaw. I look forward to ordering from you again.
Based on poor reviews and ratings, I was very hesitant in ordering from Moosejaw. I decided to take a chance, since they are owned by a major (WM) retailer and relative positive employee scores. I purchased a pair of sandals at a discount, much cheaper than other online/B&M stores. I knew size, comfort and quality b4 ordering. Many negative comments related to delivery - I can see why as when I ordered, there were 3 conflicting delivery dates. Result: They arrived earlier than any of the dates stated and was the exact pair I ordered. No need to engage with Customer Service.
Ordered a tent and footprint that were both "in-stock" over a holiday. Next business day, both items were marked as shipped and I was charged for both. The next day, after holiday sales were over, I received an email stating that MooseJaw had decided the tent would not be shipped. The reps refused to provide a reasonable explanation of how the tent could go from "in-stock", "shipped" and charged for to suddenly out-of-stock.
Furthermore, the reps could not give any reason why obviously dependent accessories would still be sent to the customer after the business decides to change the order from "shipped" to out-of-stock.
Reps would not acknowledge that fact that the decision to change the item from "shipped' to out-of-stock was much more than an "inconvenience" -- the failure by Moosejaw was the only reason this ex-customer missed out on the holiday sales for similiar tents and accessories.
While the selection may seem great, the fact that they will change items from "shipped" and still charge for them is a horrible business practice. The site should be avoided. There are other outdoor gear sites out there which actually fulfill purchases.

I bought a pair of ski poles from them and they sent me the wrong poles that had the sticker of the right poles on them. Meaning someone at their warehouse mislabeled them. Then a week later I order a pair of skis from this company and they then cancel the order because they don't have them in stock. It's 2021 the software exists that this shouldn't happen. I then call customer service to ask why they can't run a business professionally and I got hung up on reinforcing the fact of their unprofessionalism.

Ordered 2 pairs of boots for a gift for my daughter and son-in-law on the Walmart.com website. It clearly says all over the listing "sold by Moosejaw, a Walmart Company". Paid extra for expedited shipping since they were gifts. On the day they were supposed to deliver I realized I never received a shipping notice. Contacted Walmart and they transferred me to Moosejaw. Lady told me she would look into it and call me back. Never happened. Called Walmart again and the person said he sent Moosejaw an email and they would get back in 24 hours. Remember the expedited shipping part... I needed to know when I could get the gifts. Walmart gave me the MOOOOSEJaw phone number and the moron that answered says he can't look up the order because it's a Walmart order. What a clown show! Told Walmart and Moosejaw to cancel the order - not sure if anybody knows how to. Good thing I put it on American Express card. Will never try this outfit again!
I was in the market for a new carhartt hoodie. I looked and Moose Jaw had it for 30% cheaper (I'm a tall). The shippi mg was free expected 4 business days. The order showed up in two. It's exactly what they described. They also sent me another 30% off coupon and a cool sticker. I'll be back.
One of the coolest things about Moosejaw is their hilarious emails and general writing style. Makes them look like a great choice over a "soulless" big box store or Amazon.
In reality, it's a front for a bottom feeding company. The lowest of the low. In addition to their "poor" rating on Trustpilot - this really takes the cake - their BBB rating is a F. I'll say again: F!!!!
Unfortunately, I got hooked by the former and didn't think to check the latter (never again). And when I reached to them because my $$$ order had been sent to the wrong address, they ignored me repeatedly (I think I emailed, chatted, and called them 12 times to their 2-3 slow and disjointed responses), and then lied outright to my credit card company (I'm not using the term lied lightly) about what had gone down.
My experience sounds shockingly similar to 2 other recent reviews here where customers got bilked over address issues. Be sure to also check out the 12/31/19 Yelp reviewer that got stiff-armed over $650.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a jacket for a close friend of mine’s daughter. She wanted a Columbia jacket forever, and the family doesn’t have a lot of money. So I found the jacket online at Moosejaw. I placed the order the first time. A week went by, and I heard nothing. So I called them. They told me that it was my fault that the order didn’t go through. Even though I paid on PayPal! So I redid the order a second time per their instructions. This time I got an email that the order was canceled! Even though I never canceled! I called customer service, and got the same lame answer that everyone seems to give now for poor customer service. Blame it on Covid! I won’t waste my time ordering from these people ever again! Now I have a heartbroken girl. Who probably thinks that I lied to her about getting the jacket!
Terrible customer service. Ordered a pair of shoes that do not fit. Sent them back as a return and recieved the same exact shoe back in the mail again. Only after contacting them was I told that they do not do exchanges except for the exact item that was previously ordered. ???What!?
I am now being told that their policy is for returns only and in order to recieve a refund I must send back the entire order that was placed! (Christmas gifts). Again, ???What?! They also have no idea when the shoe size I need will be back in stock as per their cs rep "they do not keep track of stock"... "sorry :("
Their customer service is a joke. We will never be purchasing from them again.

Although I will never use the site again, the reason I chose to try was the apparent selection, good looking site and discount at the time. That being said I will never return since the experience was awful.

Never received my item and customer service stated they couldn't do anything about it. Horrendous customer service. I will not be shopping at Moosejaw ever again.
